Sudan: The price of octane-95 gasoline is 630 Sudanese Pound per liter. For comparison, the average price of gasoline in the world for this period is 1125.46 Sudanese Pound. The chart below shows the price of gasoline in the country relative to other countries. Use the drop menu to see the prices in gallons. On the graph, the prices for the countries indicated with a * are updated on a weekly basis. The prices for the other countries are updated on a monthly basis because these countries have regulated fuel markets and prices do not change frequently.

We use the parallel market exchange rate from the Khartoum area to convert the local currency prices into USD. The value of the Sudanese Pound in the parallel market is significantly lower than the official exchange rate. These market rates are, however, not very transparent and should be used with caution. In addition, the prices on the site are for imported fuel. Domestically produced fuel is substantially cheaper but in short supply.
