Natural gas prices, March 2023:
The chart shows the price of natural gas around the world.
Use the drop menu to switch between household and business consumer prices.
Various countries report these prices in kWh, Gigajoules or cubic meters and, for consistency, we report all prices in kWh.
The world average price is 0.105 U.S. Dollar per kWh for household users and 0.090 U.S. Dollar per kWh for business users.
For both households and businesses, we collect several data points at different levels of consumption as prices often vary with consumption.
However, for households on the chart we show the prices at household consumption of 30,000 kWh per year.
For businesses, the consumption level on the chart is 1,000,000 kWh per year.
The prices include all items in the natural gas bill.
