Sudan: The price of diesel is 590 Sudanese Pound per litre. For comparison, the average price of diesel in the world for this period is 1422.12 Sudanese Pound. The chart below shows the price of diesel in the country relative to other countries. On the graph, the prices for the countries indicated with a * are updated on a weekly basis. The prices for the other countries are updated on a monthly basis because these countries have regulated fuel markets and prices do not change frequently.

We use the parallel market exchange rate from the Khartoum area to convert the local currency prices into USD. The value of the Sudanese Pound in the parallel market is significantly lower than the official exchange rate. These market rates are, however, not very transparent and should be used with caution. In addition, the prices on the site are for imported fuel. Domestically produced fuel is substantially cheaper but in short supply.
